We are located north of Colorado Springs and south of Castle Rock, Colorado, making our location ideal for those living anywhere from Colorado Springs to the southern metropolitan Denver area. We are only five miles from Interstate 25, and less than five miles from state highway 83, providing easy access from many areas. We are less than 15 minutes away from downtown Monument. If you know where Pendragon Stud Equestrian Center is located, then you know where we are, as we are only one mile west of them on Lorraine Road.
If you enjoy trail riding, you can trailer to the Greenland open space in less than 15 minutes, to Fox Run Park or Pike National Forest in 20 minutes, and to Black Forest Regional Park in under 30 minutes. We have several books that describe the equestrian trails of Colorado, and we'd be happy to share them with you. We enjoy trail riding very much, even on our competitive horses, and believe it's great for the physical and mental well-being of our horses (and us!)
If you are a competitive rider, we have an ideal location, as you can get to the following locations in approximately 30 minutes:
The Colorado Horse Park (formerly High Prairie Farms) in Parker
The Douglas County fairgrounds in Castle Rock
Abbe Ranch in Larkspur
Round Top horse trials in Castle Rock
Norris Penrose Equestrian Center in Colorado Springs
Spring Gulch park, the site of recognized and schooling horse trials and schooling dressage shows and pair paces, is about 45 minutes away.
Aspen Ridge, which hosts recognized and schooling horse trials and dressage shows and schooling pair paces, is only 15 minutes away.
Many local schooling shows are held in the Black Forest, within half-an-hour of our facility, and recognized and schooling shows are held at Pendragon Stud Equestrian Center, just down the road from us.
Our easy access to I25 and SR83 makes it easy to get anywhere to the north or south, east or west.
